A time and a place to meet.

Bring the time, participants, and meeting link together in an event. Review the week’s schedule, then set the date, time zone, and reminder so the team can prepare for the same meeting.

  • Day, workweek, week, and month views

Change views to inspect one day or the whole week. Use the month view to review dates and open an event’s details.

  • Recurring events and time zones

Set a recurrence for regular meetings. Choose the event’s time zone to make its timing clear for participants in different places.

  • Participant invitations and RSVP

Invite the teammates who need to attend. Follow their responses in the event to see who plans to join.

  • Coplace meeting, join link, and reminder

Add a Coplace meeting to the event. Participants can reach it through a reminder or the event’s Join link.

Prepare the agenda in a shared note.

The calendar tells the team when to meet. A Canvas note explains what to discuss: the agenda, open questions, and decisions afterwards. Participants can read the shared page before the meeting.

The first-week meeting is on the calendar. Join through the event’s Coplace link when it’s time.

  1. Create the event

Set time, time zone, recurrence, and the relevant channel.

  2. Add participants

Invite team members and add a Coplace meeting when needed.

  3. Join on time

Use reminders and the Join link to enter from the workspace.

The team knows when to meet and which link to use. Keep the agenda and preparation notes in the relevant channel.

Plan the conversations that need a time.

A recurring project review

Create a recurring event and invite the participants. Collect open questions in a shared note before the meeting.

A team across time zones

Set the event’s time zone, time, and reminder. Attach a Coplace meeting so the joining link stays with the event.

Keep appointments and tasks distinct.

Use the calendar for meetings and events. Use a task with an owner and due date for work someone needs to complete. Creating an event does not automatically create a task with the same name.
